Taking the Weekly Off

The OCR Live team is busy these days. There have been the Game Trailers that we've been releasing on a steady basis for a couple of weeks now, and planning ahead before we board the flight to The Netherlands where we will attend and cover CAC Amsterdam 2009. Busy we are, and so we've actually skipped an episode or two of the Weekly Edition.

I just thought it called for an explanation. It is also an opportunity to write the brief history of the Weekly Edition.

We launched these gaming news summary videos in January, 2009. In this time we've aired nearly 50 Weekly Edition videos and over 50 other videos. To express how long a time this has been, one can look at the changes that have come over YouTube - the main Website we use to distribute the videos.

YouTube have gone from the regular quality videos to High Quality videos, and on to High Definition most recently.

We're proud (and hard at work) to say that we've been quick to adopt the HD option, which, by clicking twice on the video embedded below, will show in TV quality, large screen mode. So we leave you with the most recent Weekly Edition. Many happy returns!

Counting the Days to CAC Amsterdam

Anticipation for the annual Casino Affiliate Convention get-together in Amsterdam is at a somewhat higher level this year.

For one, the event, two weeks away, is expected to sell out of space. Free admission for all affiliates who are members of the GPWA, Poker Affiliate Listings and Affiliate Guard Dog; cheap flights this time of year; and free drinks at the parties can only do so much. What is it then?

Our industry is undergoing some changes. Hand in hand with the growing selection of online casinos, players must be provided with the utmost honesty and transparency. We'd like to believe this much is being done. But there is another side to this coin, and that is the relationships between operators, affiliates and all who are involved in the industry side of things.

Those concerned and all who are involved are invited to the CAC Amsterdam 2009 event, which provides an ample stimulus for conversations, addressing these issues head on. (CasinoMeister Bryan Bailey will speak on a panel on ethics for operators and affiliates, for example.)

A good program, networking opportunities and recent affiliate developments will help CAC become an important event for you to be at.

In recent changes on the site, we have set up a comprehensive list of all the online gambling options one can imagine.

On a casino (or other) review page you will find information on the latest Promotions offered, a brief Review, of course links to site or a Download button if applicable.

Also on the page are the site's Profile, including its owner or operator, established year, languages supported, where it holds a license and who is its auditor, etc.

And all this is available for all gambling forms and platforms on the Web. It wasn't easy for us, but is intended to make life easier for players.
