UEFA Euro 2008 is over. Spain has triumphed, my wallet is somewhat thinner, and Online Casino Reports is back to its previous look.

First, to the winners.

Congrats Spain for winning the coveted trophy after 44 long years. Even if it won't be remembered as one of the greatest teams in championship history, and lacking a true superstar player, Spain's victory is good for the world of football. If not a role model for total football, Spain is at least a sign of how the sport should be played.

Secondly, to our site.

Online Casino Reports has followed the Euro 2008 odds with daily articles, which we posted under the Entertainment Section on our News. We hope these were helpful for you, in following the tournament and in placing bets too.

We have also changed our site's logo, as we do on occasion. We keep these colorful logos at a special section on our site as well.

Lastly, our Sports Service.

Euro 2008 came and left. The odds were written, and the outcomes decided. Even a logo appeared on top of our pages and then was removed, before being replaced.

But the Sport Lines Service, with reviews of sport betting sites and overviews of the free bets available online is here to stay.

Germany takes on Turkey on Wednesday, and Spain meets Russia the following day, in the semi-finals ahead of the Euro 2008 Football Championship.
Except for Spain, all the teams to have reached this stage have done so from the less favorable standing of second place in their respective Groups. Does this make them favorites?

We don't know! It's hard to tell anymore, with the defending champions Greece out with three losses; the Netherlands, early favorites, falling to Russia in the uarter-finals; crowd pleaser Portugal and superstar Christiano Ronaldo losing to Germany; and Turkey, somewhere around 100th in world standings, impressively making its way to the final four.

Did someone say Turkey?


So how are we to make a prediction with these rather surprising results? I'm still getting over the fact that England isn't playing.

Sports betting sites have already placed Germany as favorite. The same bookies, in double irony, have also sent the message that the underdogs are favorites. Clearly the results support this latter claim.

Push me and I back Russia. But for the heck of me I cannot get the company to join me on this prediction. Guess we'll just keep on following and reporting odds to our site members, who are welcome to place their own odds at any of the sports betting sites we cover and present on the site.

It's all fun. You will not hear me complaining. A lot of work goes into the filming and entire production of our OCR Live! gambling videos.

In a matter of a few months we have developed entire concepts and formats such as the Weekly Edition news videos, the Casino Reviews, and others that the team is working on this very moment.

If on this topic already, this is what you can expect to find on Online Casino Reports in coming days and weeks:

Whilst our site caters for online gamblers across the globe, we've decided to start 'thinking local' with the upcoming launch of our very first spin-off site, targeted specifically at the South African market.

South African online gambling is about to take off. Legislation legalizing and regulating the gambling industry will soon open the gates to increased online activity. Scores of offshore providers will also be seeking a piece of the African action.

In view of these new developments we've decided to launch onlinecasinoreports.co.za, to act as a gateway to the world of South African online gambling.

Our content team has been busy researching the ins and outs of South African market and writing the pages of a brand new site dedicated specifically to the South African player.

The spin-off site will offer many of the same features of our main site including news, reviews, insider info on the biggest bonuses, the craziest jackpots etc. With everything tailored to the South African region, currency law and language.

Making of the Weekly Edition

I had the pleasure to interview with PRWeb, perhaps the leading online news and press release distribution service around. It was in the earlier stages of the Weekly Edition, those weekly videos presented by Kate, with top news stories from the week.

The informative and entertaining weekly issues appear on the online gambling website, on our YouTube channel, and on several other video sharing websites such as Yahoo! Videos and Veoh.

Back from CAP Spring Break, I have to remind myself that life is not all fun and games. Or is it?

I figured the ideal transition to writing again for the website, and for the blog, as I am doing right now, will be by introducing our Beers Slot game.

Of course, we have the Games Section, where over a hundred games are free to play in Flash mode, from Pacman and other Classics, to puzzle games, skill challenges and even practice casino action.

With beers Slot we offer an in-house development, our own creation, a game that offers high quality slots action and terrific graphics.
