You all know well how grand the online gambling industry is. This is not a comment on anything contested as how wonderful it might or might not be, nor is it a way to say "billions of dollars" in other words. I am just stating the obvious.
IT IS A BIG BUSINESS.
Online casinos and gambling websites - the heart and soul of the online gambling industry - count upwards of 2,000. (In a lecture I've attended by Michael Corfman of the GPWA when at CAC Amsterdam 2009 he estimated the number at 2,100).
Add to that the operating companies, software providers and poker networks, affiliate programs and payment methods, non-profit organizations and regulatory authorities and you have yourself a mass industry.
